Creating Instance

CPU Cores: The number of virtual cores to be assigned to the instance.

CPU Units: Is a positive non-zero number, passed to and used in the kernel fair scheduler. The larger the number is, the more CPU time this instance gets.

*CPU Percent: *Depending on the cores assigned, the percentage entered decided how much power can be used of the physical core, Calculation is done as follows:

Let's say you have a server with 16 physical cores, you want to allocate only 4 physical cores but 8 virtual cores to the instance you would assign the following** **

CPU Cores: 8 CPU Percent: 50

This will result in 100% usage of 4 cores.

Enable noVNC: Helps you to access an instance through a virtual monitor for you to be able to debug it when it's not accessible.

Private Networking: Enabling this option gives you the ability to select a private IPv4 to internal networking.

Bandwidth Accounting: Bandwidth calculation based on flow can be controlled here.

  1. Uploads
  2. Downloads
  3. Both

Overage Action: Provides you the option to perform following actions if bandwidth limit exceeds:

  1. Suspend Network
  2. Suspend Instance
  3. Bill the Overage ( per GB )

Image Groups: If there's any specific Images you want to assign to a specific instance then this option is handy.
